We are thrilled to announce that our Springboard program won the award for Outstanding Project Promoting Social Cohesion and Community Harmony at the ZEST Awards 2021, the premier event for the Community Sector in Western Sydney.

The ZEST Awards, led by the West Sydney Community Forum, has celebrated over 1,050 outstanding projects and individuals from the community over the past ten years.

This award recognises our outstanding contributions to Western Sydney for a project that ‘significantly increases sense of belonging, attachment to the community and/or willingness to participate in their community on a local or regional level’.

Our Springboard program equips Stage 3 primary school students with the skills and strategies needed to prepare for, and overcome, the social and academic challenges they face as they move towards their transition to high school.

Facilitator Leader Eve Wilcox was grateful for the recognition the project received.

“It is an honour to receive this ZEST award for Creating Chances, to be recognised for the amazing impact that we are bringing to young people across Western Sydney. This was truly a team collaborative effort in the design, implementation and delivery of the program. I am so proud to be a part of this project and organisation.”

We would like to recognise the incredible contributions of all our team in designing, implementing, and facilitating the programs which have positively impacted over 700 primary school children in 20 schools across the community!

We would also like to acknowledge our partners, the All in Giving Circle, for their significant contributions which enabled us to deliver the programs. We could not have done this without your support!
