The Springboard program helps Year 5 and 6 students feel confident and prepared for the big step into high school. We focus on resilience, friendships and self-awareness so young people can handle challenges with a positive mindset.

Our programs are designed to integrate and can run concurrently throughout the school year.

Creating Chances is the trusted social enterprise partner of hundreds of schools across Australia, many in socio-economically disadvantaged areas. As a non-profit social enterprise, we specialise in evidence-based programs that promote positive youth development through sport.

Springboard: One step on the Pathway

The Youth Development Pathway is our flagship program and central to our mission at Creating Chances. This innovative and unique sports program is tailored to build confident, capable and future-ready young people. Through sport, we explore personal growth, community building, social change, and pathways beyond school, providing children and young adults with essential life skills in a supportive and enjoyable environment.

There are five modules in the Creating Chances Youth Development Pathway, each designed for different stages of student development.

For students in years 5 and 6: Our Springboard program focuses on creating resilient and positive learners prepared to transition to high school.

School-Based Trainee Program (SBAT)

After participating in the Youth Development Pathway, students can join our facilitation and coaching team at Creating Chances as school-based trainees.They will develop skills and gain experience that will pave the way for their future success.
