Annual Showcase Event
What an incredible evening we had at the Creating Chances Annual Showcase & Celebration, thanks to our wonderful hosts at KPMG in Parramatta Square. The energy was high, and the stories inspiring.
The event kicked off with a captivating welcome from Joseph Tau, Logo Filipo, and the Pacific Waves team, who masterfully blended moments of calm reflection with bursts of vibrant energy. It was a perfect start to an evening filled with powerful insights.

Our Chairman, Justin Scheinberg, took us on a journey through the year’s highlights, showcasing the remarkable strides Creating Chances has made.
We then heard from Peter Murphy OLY, who eloquently shared the positive and far-reaching impact of our collaborative partnership with Rugby NSW.
The insights continued with associate Professor Sally Nathan from UNSW, who presented compelling evidence of the significant impact our programs are having on students’ school belonging, hope, and career readiness. It’s truly inspiring to see the data supporting the difference we’re making!
Perhaps one of the most powerful moments was hearing from Ruby Fanoosh. Ruby, a talented facilitator and football coach, shared her incredible journey from a Creating Chances student to an School-Based Trainee and now a valued staff member, all while excelling in high-level football coaching and university studies. Talk about a testament to dedication and the power of our programs!

The evening wrapped up with MC Paul Saulog guiding a fascinating fireside chat about the future of Creating Chances with our CEO, Brad McCarroll. The room was captivated as we explored a shared vision for what’s next.
A huge thank you again to everyone who attended, spoke, and supported this memorable event, including NSW Education, Multicultural NSW, Western Sydney MRC, beyond bank, headspace, Cognizant, the Australian Olympic Committee, UNSW, Settlement Services International, NSW Rugby, the University of Newcastle, the University of Wollongong and KPMG.
We’re already looking forward to what the next year holds!
