We were thrilled to have Wrexham FC Foundation come out to ACPE in Sydney Olympic Park and take part in our Legends Connect training, when our state-wide Facilitation team come together during the winter school holidays.
Not only was this a fantastic way to connect and further our learning with youth leaders and foundation staff from the other side of the world, having the Wrexham Foundation attend was a great opportunity to gain new perspectives and hear about their experience in the sport for good world in the UK.

We started the day with talks from Wrexham Legends Ben Tozer and Ben Foster, who shared the importance of self awareness and resilience on their football journeys.
Zoning in on the power of overcoming adversity, backing yourself, leveraging your abilities and playing to your strengths, the footballing duo offered an inspiring take on how we as individuals can contribute to our communities.

The Wrexham team – including Foundation staff and youth leaders – then got amongst it with our own facilitators, as Cooper and Maddyson led us all through connection-building Icebreakers and values based experiential activities, before we unpacked our Term 2 wins and challenges.

We’re grateful to connect with Sport for Good organisations around the world, share best practice and create transformational experiences for our team, including the opportunity for Creating Chances staff to attend Wrexham’s blockbuster pre-season friendly with Sydney FC at Allianz Stadium.
